PBN Audio OLYMPIA High Resolution ALL-FET Power Amplifier PLEASE read details - NO returns due to ship cost Condition: 2 Channel Power Amplifier manufactured in 2016 by PBN Audio with a custom faceplate in Glossy RED.  This amplifier has some very light visible wear but still looks fantastic. There are a few scratches on and around the handles on the rear of the amp. There is also a very light scuff on the top panel. The faceplate looks great and has no chips or scratches I could find. (Please see photos) All inputs, outputs, and meters are in working order.  Please note: When idle, there is a very faint transformer buzz that is audible within a few inches of the speakers. The amplifier's noise floor is undetectable when an input signal is applied and at normal listening levels. I also had the unit checked for proper operation by PBN in 2021. Comes with the original C-19 factory power cord. I would put the condition at 8/10. Overall this amplifier is an outstanding performer and true high-end audio product with exceptional hand-built quality. Serial No: #16046. Original MSRP: $8500. Description: The front panel of the amplifier has 3 switches as follows: An On/Off switch, a Push-to-Start switch, and a High/Low Bias switch. To operate, the push-start button must be held until the amplifier powers on with an internal audible "click". (about 2 to 3 seconds) The front panel also features 2 white/red LED lighted meters: The left one is a VU meter, and the right one measures the rail voltage. This sits right about at 51V (36V RMS for 8 ohms), which would indicate a 162W output. The amplifier's massive 1.5kVA power transformer is made by the same Canadian company that once also supplied transformers to Krell and Classé. The rear panel has WBT binding posts and features the ability to switch between 3 different input types, as well as stereo and mono operation. The amplifier can be bridged into “Differential Mode” to supply 600 Watts into one channel. This mono operation requires a fully differential pre-amplifier.
